TINUBU APPOINTS YAHAYA SERIKI AS NORTH CENTRAL DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MOBILISATION FOR 2027 CAMPAIGN:
“Kwara APC Governorship Aspirant to Coordinate Youth Mobilisation Across Seven States and FCT”
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Amb. Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki-Gambari as the Director of Youth Mobilization (North Central) for the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign, according to information obtained from social media.
Yahaya Seriki, a prominent APC governorship aspirant from Kwara State and a leading member of the G15 political group, is expected to coordinate youth mobilisation across the North Central region in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Under the reported appointment, Seriki will oversee youth mobilisation activities across Kwara, Niger, Benue, Plateau, Kogi and Nasarawa States, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
GRASSROOTS POLITICAL NETWORK:
The appointment comes against the background of Seriki’s described grassroots political profile and his extensive network among political stakeholders and young people in Kwara State and beyond.
He has been involved in political mobilisation and campaign activities at various levels, with the report highlighting his previous experience as
Director-General of the campaign for the Kwara governorship elections in 2019 and 2023.
PREVIOUS YOUTH MOBILISATION ROLE:
The report also noted that the business tycoon had earlier been appointed to a similar youth mobilisation role by the City Boy Movement, further highlighting his involvement in youth-focused political mobilisation.
The latest reported appointment places Seriki at the centre of the APC’s youth mobilisation efforts across the North Central ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the responsibility of coordinating support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket across the designated states and the FCT.
The development is expected to attract attention within the political circles of Kwara State and the wider North Central region, particularly given Seriki’s reported political aspirations and his involvement with the G15 political group.
