SEVEN WEEKS OF IMPACT: BUDO-EGBA WARD SUMMER LESSON WRAPS UP WITH STUDENT RECOGNITION AND COMMUNITY APPRECIATION;

…Students Honoured at Grand Finale and Recognition Awards

The 2026 Budo-Egba Ward Free Community Summer Lesson Programme has successfully come to an end, with the organisers expressing profound appreciation to individuals, teachers, donors, community leaders and media partners whose contributions made the initiative a remarkable success.

The programme, which was conceived to keep children and young people academically engaged, productively occupied and inspired during the holiday period, concluded with a grand finale and Student Recognition Awards, celebrating outstanding participation and performance among the beneficiaries.

According to the Coordinator, Dr. Abdulrasaq Abiodun Saadu, the programme provided pupils and students with quality academic instruction, mentorship and encouragement throughout the seven-week exercise.

He described the successful completion of the programme as a significant milestone for the community, stressing that the initiative demonstrated what can be achieved when individuals unite around the common goal of educational advancement and youth development.

VOLUNTEER TEACHERS COMMENDED

The organisers particularly praised the volunteer teachers for their commitment, patience and sacrifices throughout the programme.

Despite offering their services without financial compensation, the teachers consistently made themselves available to impart knowledge, guide the learners and serve as positive role models.

Their dedication, the organisers noted, went beyond classroom instruction, as they contributed to building the academic confidence and character of the participating pupils and students.

DONORS AND SUPPORTERS APPRECIATED

The organisers also extended their appreciation to the donors and sponsors whose financial and material contributions helped provide learning materials, logistics and awards for outstanding students.

Their support, according to the organisers, sent a strong message to the younger generation that the community believes in their abilities and is willing to invest in their future.

Community leaders, both within and outside Budo-Egba, were equally commended for their steadfast support, encouragement and confidence in the initiative.

CLEAN AND KLEAR MEDIA AFFAIRS RECOGNISED

Special appreciation was also extended to Clean and Klear Media Affairs for providing media coverage of the grand finale and transmitting the event live to the public without charging any fee.

The organisers described the media organisation’s contribution as a demonstration of commitment to community development, educational promotion and responsible media engagement.

The successful conclusion of the 2026 Summer Lesson Programme, they noted, has further demonstrated the strength of community solidarity, collective responsibility and investment in the younger generation.

As the pupils and students return to their respective schools for the new academic session, the organisers expressed optimism that they would return with improved knowledge, renewed confidence, valuable lessons and memorable experiences from the programme.

The Coordinator, Dr. Abdulrasaq Abiodun Saadu, thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the initiative and expressed hope for continued collaboration on future educational and community development programmes.
