The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has formally presented the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form to its governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, marking another significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 governorship election.

The presentation ceremony, held at the APC State Secretariat in Ilorin, was led by the State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, in the presence of party leaders, executives, stakeholders, and supporters, who reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening party unity and consolidating the APC’s structure ahead of the general elections.

Receiving the nomination form, Danladi-Salihu expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Leadership, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, party executives, ward leaders, and members across the state for the confidence reposed in him.

The APC governorship candidate, who currently serves as the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, also commended fellow aspirants who participated in the party’s governorship primary, describing the exercise as a democratic process.

He assured members that ongoing reconciliation efforts would further unite the party ahead of the governorship, National Assembly, and State House of Assembly elections.

Danladi-Salihu pledged to justify the confidence placed in him if elected and reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, while praying for divine guidance throughout the electoral process.

In his remarks, APC State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, urged members to exercise caution in their use of social media, warning against comments capable of undermining the party’s reconciliation process.

He called on all party faithful to remain disciplined, avoid actions that could fuel internal divisions, and work collectively toward securing victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.

The presentation of the INEC nomination form signals the party’s continued efforts to consolidate its internal structures, deepen reconciliation among stakeholders, and strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming elections.
