Solomon Dalung Criticizes Tinubu’s ‘Dangerous’ Cabals
Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has condemned the influential figures behind President Bola Tinubu’s administration, labeling them as “the most dangerous and sophisticated” in Nigeria’s history. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today program, Dalung compared the current power brokers to those from former President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, claiming that they were more skilled and educated, which makes them even more effective at manipulating the system.
Dalung emphasized that while the cabals in Buhari’s government lacked education and experience in governance, making them less effective, the current crop of power players are well-educated, highly ambitious, and deeply knowledgeable about political maneuvering. “These cabals are sophisticated, ambitious, and have a deep understanding of power,” he said, suggesting their influence could have a far more harmful impact on Nigeria’s political landscape.
He argued that the current political influencers are “masters” of power dynamics, with a long history in governance, making them far more formidable than any cabals seen in Nigeria’s history. Dalung further criticized their pervasive influence, stating that such power dynamics are a significant obstacle to good governance and accountability in the country.
