Mega Rally in Ilorin: Massive Turnout Signals Support for Tinubu, Renewed Push for Kwara North Governorship

Clean and Klear Media Affairs reports from its on-ground coverage (“lens”) at the Mega Rally held at Metropolitan Square, Asa Dam, Ilorin, where a large crowd of party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters gathered in a show of political strength ahead of the 2027 election cycle.

The rally witnessed strong expressions of support for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside growing advocacy for the governorship seat in Kwara State to be zoned to Kwara North Senatorial District.

Clean and Klear Media Affairs observed that speakers at the event consistently emphasized the principles of equity, fairness, and justice, urging the All Progressives Congress at both state and national levels to consider Kwara North in its zoning arrangement.

Speaking on behalf of traditional rulers, the Emir of Lafiagi, Muhammed Kudu Kawu, noted that the demand reflects a long-standing aspiration of the people of the district.
He stressed that Kwara North has played a vital role in electoral victories and political stability over the years, yet remains underrepresented in top leadership positions.

He further appealed to stakeholders across other senatorial districts to support the call, describing it as a pathway to strengthening unity and preserving Kwara’s identity as the “State of Harmony.”

The rally also showcased a united front among leading governorship aspirants from the district, including Sadiq Suleiman Umar, Mohammed Omar Bio, Tajudeen Abdulkadir Audu, and Salihu Yakubu Danladi, all of whom were present and engaged with supporters.

The event, marked by high energy and coordinated participation, signals increasing political mobilization across Kwara State as stakeholders began to position ahead of the 2027 general elections.
