DOUBLE HONOUR, RISING TIDE AS SEN. SADIQ’ S GOVERNORSHIP BID GAINS POWERFUL BACKING ACROSS KWARA:
As the governorship ambition of Senator Sadiq Umar Suleiman, popularly known as 3SU, continues to gather remarkable momentum across Kwara State and beyond, key stakeholders from the three senatorial districts are intensifying calls for support—citing his outstanding performance at the National Assembly as a major driving force.
The latest wave of recognition comes from the fast-rising and highly sought-after multimedia powerhouse, Curious Multimedia Network—owners of Curious Television News—and the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON), Kwara State Chapter. In a historic show of endorsement, the seasoned lawmaker bagged two Awards of Excellence in a single day, underscoring his proven track record and impactful leadership.
While presenting the first award, the Chief Executive Officer of Curious Multimedia Network, Comrade Olufemi Akobi, emphasized that the honour was strictly merit-based, reflecting the senator’s exceptional contributions.
Receiving the award on his behalf, close ally Dr. Lanre Shittu expressed deep appreciation, affirming that Senator Umar truly deserves the recognition and is fully prepared to serve Kwara State at a higher capacity.
At the NACLFON awards ceremony, Senator Umar was again honoured with another Award of Excellence for his performance. He was represented by one of his prominent and vocal supporters, Dr. Olayinka Oniyangi.
Speaking at the events, industrialist and Kwara South stakeholder, Dr. Lanre Shittu, urged citizens to objectively assess the senator’s impressive record at the National Assembly and translate it into support for his governorship ambition.
In the same vein, Dr. Oniyangi noted that his backing for a Kwara Northerner—particularly Senator Umar—is rooted in the principles of fairness, equity, and justice.
They collectively called on stakeholders from Kwara South and Central to unite in support of the North in producing the next governor of the state come 2027.
