APC Moves to Strengthen Unity, Launches Reconciliation Drive Across Key States Ahead of 2027:

As preparations for the 2027 General Elections gather momentum, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified efforts to foster unity and strengthen internal cohesion following the conclusion of its nationwide primary elections.

The party's National Working Committee (NWC), under the leadership of National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has activated a comprehensive reconciliation process aimed at addressing concerns arising from the recently concluded primaries in several states across the federation.

According to party sources, special attention is being directed to states including Kwara, Nasarawa, Rivers, Adamawa, Benue, Bauchi, and Taraba, where varying levels of disagreements and grievances emerged after the primary elections.

The APC leadership emphasized that reconciliation remains a vital component of the party's strategy to consolidate its strength, maintain party discipline, and ensure a united front ahead of the 2027 polls.

Speaking on the development, Prof. Yilwatda reiterated the commitment of the party to fairness, inclusiveness, and internal democracy, noting that electoral contests naturally generate expectations among aspirants and supporters.

He explained that the APC's established conflict-resolution structures, including the Presidential Conflict Resolution Committee and the Party Conflict Resolution Committee, have been mobilized to engage stakeholders, review complaints, and facilitate peaceful resolutions where necessary.

The party leadership acknowledged that while the primaries were largely successful and demonstrated the APC's grassroots reach across the country, some aspirants expressed concerns relating to the conduct of the exercises, prompting the need for further consultations and dialogue.

In Kwara State and other affected areas, party leaders are expected to engage aspirants, stakeholders, and supporters with a view to promoting understanding, strengthening confidence in the party structure, and preventing unnecessary divisions.

As part of the reconciliation process, aggrieved members are being encouraged to utilize established appeal mechanisms and submit formal petitions through approved channels rather than resorting to actions capable of undermining party unity.

The APC leadership also reaffirmed its commitment to carrying all stakeholders along, assuring party members that every genuine concern will receive due attention in accordance with the party's constitution and democratic principles.

Political observers have described the reconciliation initiative as a strategic move aimed at preserving the party's electoral strength, maintaining grassroots support, and positioning the APC for another successful outing in the 2027 General Elections.

With the submission of candidates' names approaching, the ruling party appears determined to close ranks, deepen internal harmony, and ensure that all members work collectively toward securing victory at the polls.

The APC leadership remains optimistic that through dialogue, understanding, and party loyalty, all outstanding issues will be amicably resolved in the overall interest of the party and the nation.
