APC Moves to End Ticket Crisis, Grants Return Tickets to Incumbent Federal Lawmakers:

The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly taken decisive steps to calm the lingering political crisis arising from the party’s primary elections in Ondo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to information making the rounds in political circles, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has allegedly approved automatic return tickets for all serving senators and members of the House of Representatives representing Ondo State.

The development is believed to be part of broader efforts by the APC leadership to restore unity within the party following weeks of internal disagreements, petitions, disrupted primaries, and political tension that trailed the nomination process.

Sources familiar with the development claimed that nomination forms have reportedly been made available to incumbent federal lawmakers, while affected candidates have been advised to complete the necessary documentation in line with party procedures.

The reports also suggest that the APC South-West Vice Chairman, Isaac Kekemeke, has emerged as the party’s senatorial candidate for Ondo South Senatorial District, while consultations are said to be ongoing over the final list of candidates for the Ondo State House of Assembly.

Political observers believe the intervention followed widespread dissatisfaction that greeted the conduct of the party’s primaries, during which several aspirants protested alleged irregularities, disputed screening outcomes, and questioned the transparency of the process.

The crisis had reportedly triggered demonstrations by party supporters, conflicting claims over primary election results, and several petitions submitted to the APC national leadership for review.

Although the reported intervention is expected to ease tensions within the party, some stakeholders are said to remain concerned over unresolved issues surrounding the selection of candidates for other elective positions.

As of the time of filing this report, the APC National Secretariat has not issued any official public statement confirming the reports circulating in the media.
