SECURITY FIRST: Asa LG Chairman Deepens Partnership with Security Agencies, Traditional Rulers to Enhance Peace;

The Executive Chairman of Asa Local Government, Alhaji Shehu Amasa Yahaya, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening security across the council area through strategic collaboration with security agencies and traditional institutions.


In a series of high-level engagements held at the council secretariat, the Chairman received members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Special Squad, Kwara State, on a courtesy and appreciation visit, where discussions centered on improving intelligence gathering, community policing, and proactive security measures to safeguard lives and property.


The VGN delegation commended the Chairman for his consistent support and security-conscious leadership, noting that his administration has continued to provide an enabling environment for effective security operations across Asa Local Government.


In a related development, Alhaji Shehu Amasa Yahaya also hosted security agencies alongside traditional rulers from Afon District to deliberate on practical strategies aimed at sustaining peace and addressing emerging security challenges within the district.


The meeting emphasized the importance of synergy among security operatives, traditional institutions, and the local government through timely intelligence sharing and coordinated responses to security threats.


Speaking during both engagements, the Executive Chairman applauded the dedication and sacrifices of security personnel and traditional rulers in maintaining law and order.
