Kwara APC G15 Reaffirms Resolve Ahead of Solidarity Rally, Calls for Peaceful Participation:
The Kwara APC G15 Coalition has reaffirmed its determination to proceed with its scheduled solidarity rally, despite reports of alleged efforts to disrupt the planned gathering.
In a statement made available to Clean and Klear Media Affairs, the coalition maintained that the rally remains a peaceful demonstration of support for its leaders and a platform to advocate for unity, inclusiveness, internal democracy, fairness, and collective leadership within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
The coalition alleged that there were plans to organise parallel political activities capable of diverting attention from the solidarity walk. It also raised concerns over alleged attempts to discourage supporters from participating in the event.
According to the organisers, the solidarity rally is intended to reaffirm the ideals that inspired the APC’s progressive movement in Kwara State while expressing support for stakeholders advocating reforms and broader participation in the party’s affairs.
The group stressed that the event would be conducted peacefully and urged members and supporters to remain orderly, law-abiding, and respectful of constituted authorities throughout the exercise.
The coalition also appealed to security agencies to remain professional, impartial, and ensure the protection of lives and property before, during, and after the rally.
Reiterating its commitment to democratic engagement, the G15 Coalition encouraged party members and supporters to continue pursuing their aspirations through peaceful and lawful means while expressing confidence in the ongoing efforts to strengthen internal cohesion within the Kwara APC.
The organisers concluded by urging supporters to remain united and focused on promoting peace, dialogue, and the collective interest of the party as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
