Asa LG Chairman Deepens District-Wide Security Consultations, Engages Onire and Owode Traditional Rulers:
The Executive Chairman of Asa Local Government, Alhaji Shehu Amasa Yahaya, has sustained his administration’s proactive security engagements with a series of strategic consultations involving traditional rulers across the local government, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening peace and protecting lives and property.
As part of the ongoing district-wide initiative, the Chairman held separate security meetings with the traditional rulers of Onire and Owode Districts, where discussions centered on enhancing community security through intelligence sharing, grassroots vigilance, and closer collaboration between traditional institutions, security agencies, and the local government.
During the engagements, Alhaji Shehu Amasa Yahaya stressed the critical role of traditional rulers in community policing and early intelligence gathering, noting that effective security requires the collective efforts of all stakeholders.
He explained that the meetings are a continuation of the administration’s comprehensive security consultations, following earlier engagements with security agencies and the traditional rulers of Afon District. According to him, the district-by-district consultations are designed to develop coordinated strategies capable of addressing emerging security challenges across all communities in Asa Local Government.
The Executive Chairman reiterated his administration’s unwavering resolve to continue working closely with traditional rulers, community leaders, and security agencies to sustain peace, strengthen public safety, and create a secure environment that will promote economic growth and sustainable development throughout Asa Local Government.
